Cantara - Cantara (2001)

Cantara - Cantara (2001)

Cantara was created at the Frankfurt Fast-Forward-Studio by German composers / song-writers
Volker Barber and Bernd Hoffmann. The self-titled album was released in 2001 by Sony/BMG.
Volker Barber may be best known for his work as a producer for Milli Vanilli and as a
keyboardist on two Tokyo productions.

The two were inspired by their visits to Romanesque churches in Aquitaine and Southern France,
that resulted in creating this sort of "spiritual musical", a concordant combination of
Gregorian and Celtic chants, pop and electronic sounds and ethnic voices. After it's release,
the group also made it's first television performance in April 2001, offering the visual
delights of a rich decor and the makeup of a stage show of ten musicians and dancers.
